Elf Slayer

Ability Requirements: Strength 9, Intelligence 10
Prime Requisites: Strength, Intelligence
Races Allowed: Human, Dwarf, Orc, Half-Orc, Half-Ogre
Alignments Allowed: Any but lawful good

Description: The elfslayer is a deadly foe of elven kind. They are not satisfied with the isolationism of elves, they want the elves eradicated completely. They disdain elves for their self important attitude and their belief that they are the chosen of the gods. They actively hunt and exterminate elves in cities and in the wild.

Role: Elfslayers are dangerous individuals. They are crafty yet brutal warriors who devote their enitre lives to exterminating the pointy eared elves. There are extremeswithin the elfslayers ranks. Some tend towards stealth and subterfuge working within cities and towns to pruify them of the hated elves. Others use brute force and strong-arm tactics to achieve their goals. Most dwarven and human elfslayers tend to be rogue warriors with a personnal grudge to settle. That is not to say that there are not large companies of them but they tend to fit into the first group.

The second group is especially dangerous to elven society. The halforcs, orcs and half-ogres establish entire armies of elfslayers that can eradicate entire villages and even small cities. They are adept at sniffing out the elves and make every attempt to destroy the faerie folk.

Secondary Skills: Elfslayers should have the Hunter secondary skill.

Weapon Proficiencies: Elfslayers are unrestricted in their choice of weapons. Most elfslayers tend to temper their choice for weapons based upon the scenario they are entering. A small concealed weapon might be used by an elfslayer in the city while and axe or sword would be more appropriate in the wilderness.

Nonweapon Proficiencies: Bonus: none Recommended: Warrior: Survival(Woods), Tracking(Elves), Weaponsmith, Armorer General: Local History(Elven Habitats), Riding(Land) Wizard: Sage Knowledge: Elven Ecology.

Equipment: Elfslayers come in all shapes and sizes and their equipment is largely dictated by the circumstances. Many elfslayers though are prudent enough to carry a shield to protect themselves from the deadly aim of the elven archer.

Recommended Traits: Keen Hearing, Keen Eyesight, Obscure Knowledge: Elven Society.

Distinctive Appearance: Elfslayers come in two varieties. The first prefers to hide their appearance and motives. They wear plain clothes and do nothing to call attention to themselves. Their lives depend on secrecy and subterfuge.

The second lot is much easier to distinguish. They are armed to the teeth wit any number of weapons and usually carry shields and wear light armor to allow them to catch up to the elves who tend to be fleet of foot. Many elfslayers tend to collect tokens of victory. The most common is to cut the ears off from the elves and wear them on a necklace.

Benefits: Elfslayers have dedicated their lives to the eradication of the elven race. They are constantly vigilant for the signs of elves and do not suffer from the -4 suprise penalty that elves usually inflict. In addition, an elfslayer gain a +1 to hit elves for every four level of experience starting at level 1.

Hindrances: Elfslayers have declared themselves the mortal enemies of the entire elven nation and are actively hunted by bladesingers and other elven protectors. In addition, elfslayers are singleminded in their pursuit of total elven annihilation. As such, when in combat they will always attack any elves first regardless of the potential threat from other combatants. With great effort, an elfslayer can avoid this by making a wisdom check with a -4 penalty.

Wealth: Standard for the character's class.
