Description: The Tombraider is quite simply a treasure hunter. Lacking some of the finesse' of a rogue, the tombraider is more akin to Indiana Jones and Lara Croft. He has an insatiable lust for artifacts with a less than refined means of obtaining them. They are rugged individuals who tend towards solitude, having but a few close friends whom they trust.

Role: The tombraider is a resourceful warrior indeed. He has a vast amount of knowledge about traps and keeps, for he spends much of his time breaking into such places. He is also adept at research, for ninety percent of all treasure hunting begins in the library.

Secondary Skills: A tombraider can come from almoast any lot in life although restless Scribes tend to find themselves drawn to this profession.

Weapon Proficiencies: Tombraiders are unrestricted in their choice of weaponry, but a few weapons are favored above others: footman's mace, shortsword, dagger and whip.

Nonweapon Proficiencies: Required: Reading/ Writing Recommended: Rogue: Ancient History, Appraising, Cryptography, Looting Warrior: Blind-Fighting General: Modern Languages, Riding (Any) Wizard: Ancient Languages, Research, Sage Knowledge Priest: Religion.

Equipment: Tombraiders are well known for carrying everything but the kitchen sink. They always have a supply of gear nearby including: ropes, torches, oil, chalks, spikes, and holy water. They usually don't wear heavy armor, preferring the greater mobility allowed by leathers or no-armor at all. They usually prefer small light weapons so that they can carry more treasure and fight within the sometimes tight confines of dungeons. The occasional tombraider will also bring along a mace to deal with those troublesome undead.

Recommended Traits: Alertness, Internal Compass, Obscure Knowledge: Artifacts and Treasure.

Benefits: Tombraiders recieve Find/Remove Traps, Read Languages and Climb Walls at 10% each at first level. For each experience level, they recieve an additional 10% to distribute amongst these skills.

Hindrances: Tombraiders are indiscriminate when it comes to raiding tombs. They recieve a -3 reaction roll from all priests who know their profession.

Wealth: Standard for the character's class.
