Warrior
Description: A Warrior is a fighter whom prides himself on his ability to use the sword and his ability to outthink an opponent. Not all, but most Warriors adopt a code of honor that extends to other Warriors. Any fighter class can adopt the Warrior Kit. Drizzt Do'Urden of the Forgotten Realms is a fine example of a Warrior. Role: A Warrior can fulfill many roles. He is a natural leader and will assume leadership without even rbeing aware of the attempt himself. Warriors almost always hold significant rank within an army. A Warrior will never ally himself with murderers nor will he ally himself with those he considers unhonorable. Secondary Skills: Almost all Warriors will have either the Armorer or the Weaponsmith secondary skill. Weapon Proficiencies: Warriors are not restricted to any weapon. However, swords are by far the most favored weapon of a Warrior. All Warriors receive a free proficiency in any one weapon of their choosing. Nonweapon Proficiencies: Bonus: All Warriors recieve the Tactics non-weapon proficiency. Also due to many hours spent studying maps they receive the Cartography non-weapon proficiency. Recommended: Warrior: Blind-Fighting, Weaponsmithing, Armorer, Endurance, Spell Tactics General: Riding (Any), Etiquette Wizard: Reading/ Writing. Equipment: Warriors can wear any type of armor and carry any weapon. Warriors tend towards plate armor and never wear anything less than chainmail unless absolutely necessary. Recommended Traits: Alertness, Light Sleeper, Obscure Knowledge: Warfare. Benefits: Warriors are highly skilled in many areas of knowledge. They are deadly foes because they do not limit themselves. For this reason, Warriors may learn any proficiency at no extra cost. Warriors quickly gain a reputation when they stay in any one area for a given time. Therefore, it is nearly impossible for a Warrior to 'lay-low' in a town. They are easily recognized by their demeanor and their weapon. Depending on a given warrior's personnal accomplishments, he/she may recieve a +2/-2 to their reaction adjustments in a given area. Hindrances: Warriors have their own personnal sense of honor. The exact nature of theis Code varies berween individuals but usually only extends towards other Warriors or honorable fighters. Wealth: Standard for the character's class.
