Rings of Arrowhawkby Allaeya Kordannah
Edition: l D&D 3e (original) l Originally posted on the Realms of Evil forums (Womb of Creation), December 4, 2001. Shown as written, with light spelling and formatting fixes only. When both rings are worn, one on each hand, they give the wearer an unseen weapon. When the wearer moves his hands in a motion one would use to draw the string of a bow, they glow brightly, and an ethereal longbow can be seen faintly in his or her hands. When released, the bow fires a very real arrow which takes the form of a foot-long stroke of lightning, only slightly larger than a normal arrow. The arrow is +3 to strike, deals 1d8+3 electrical damage and has a range of 150 ft. It can be used as many times a round as the wearer could normally use a bow to make an attack (though no such proficiency is required). Weapon Focus, Point Blank Shot, Rapid Shot, Precise Shot, Shot on the Run and other ranged weapon feats all apply normally. Caster Level: 12th; Prerequisites: Forge Ring, Craft Magic Arms and Armor, call lightning or lightning bolt; Market Price: 40,000 gp. Source: from the Realms of Evil forums. Original thread: "Rings of Arrowhawk" in the Realms of Evil Forum Archive.
