Originally posted on the Realms of Evil forums (Womb of Creation), March 14, 2002. The author did not name an edition; it is filed under D&D 3e by its rules. It is one of the items in the author's Sandaliian (surfer) class post. Shown as written, with light spelling and formatting fixes only.

These rings, with wave patterns and a sapphire, are favored by the Sandaliians who want extra protection, but not extra weight. As a standard action, the ring may be activated, and it begins to fold out, covering the wearer with a suit of full plate mail! This mail is identical to armor of the watery deep, as found in the DMG. Rings like this may not be used by anyone who doesn't have at least one level of Sandaliian.
