Patriarch

Patriarch is a longspear of simple yet elegant craftsmanship. The head has three long tines that for a cross with the handle. In the center of the three tines, suspended by the magical energies that created it, is a sapphire of rar beauty tht glows with great intensity. Patriarch was forged and yielded by Cyrsynth, an elven craftsman who makes his home in Olympus. After he retired, he passed it on to a good friend. The spear has since shown up in several locations throughout the planes, always in the hands of a powerful priest of paladin of good.
Patriarch is a holy longspear +5 with a x4 critical multplier. Clerics and paladins who yield this spear gain access to all spells in the Glory Domain (see Defenders of the Faith) provided they are high enough level to cast the spells. These are not bonus spells and must be selected from the daily alotment of spell access. They also benefit from the special domain ability, receiving a +2 bonus to turning checks and inflicting +1d6 damage on turning rolls. The spear also grants its owner +20 temporary hit points.
