Quiksilver Cloth

by Asharak

Quiksilver shirt

Edition:  l  D&D 3e (original)  l

Originally posted on the Realms of Evil forums (Womb of Creation), March 14, 2002. The author did not name an edition; it is filed under D&D 3e by its rules. It is one of the items in the author's Sandaliian (surfer) class post. Shown as written, with light spelling and formatting fixes only.

Woven by the famed Quiksilver mage guild, quiksilver cloth is valued for its magical properties and fashionable look. The most common form of this cloth is seen in the distinctive Sandaliian appearance. Sandaliian shirts are one-piece garments (a.k.a. T-shirts) that slip easily over the head. The green shirt is enchanted with a waterproof spell, instantly drying the wearer whenever they are not submerged. This also grants damage reduction 10/acid. The distinctive look of the shirt allows the Sandaliian to bring forth their surfer's charm once per day (treat as a charm person). There are greater quiksilver shirts that are capable of using the symbol on the chest to cause a variety of effects once per day (symbol spell).

The shirts have varying effects determined by color: red = fire, and so on. This is a standard garment of the community, although the Billabong mage guild is beginning to become somewhat of a challenger.
