Lauranthalas' Scarf Lauranthalas' Scarf is a name generally associated with a number of finely knit scarves. Each scarf is made of fine elven silk entwined with an elf maidens hair. They are woven by elf maidens and imbued with strong elven magic. These scarves are passed between lovers and have no power for others who wear them. These scarves are named after the elf maid Lauranthalas who wove the first of these scarves. Elves who carry these scarves will guard them fiercely. The scarves are well protected against normal wear but can be damaged by fire and acid. The powers of each scarf work only for the person for which they were made. All scarves have a variation of the locate object spell that allows the creator to know the location of the person wearing the scarf. The creator is also able to tell if the person is alive or dead. Some scarves are enchanted to have even more powerful effects. The following powers may or may not be found on a given scarf: heal once per day, cure (any) once per day, limited teleportation (to lovers home), and Telepathy (between lovers). back to miscellaneous magic
