Spyglass of Seeing The Spyglass of Seeing is a valuable item aboard any ship. The Spyglass allows the user to see double the normal distance during daytime. In addition, it negates the vision penalties of fog and darkness. A sailor facing these conditions can see normally as if it were a clear sunny day. The Spyglass itself is gold plated although extremely light and durable. The eyepiece is carved with intricate runes. The spyglass is typically stored in a leather or wooden case.
