Tattoos: Tool of the Trade
Togmer watched with horror as the inkslinger pulled a series of tools from a drawer. In various shapes and sizes, each tool was tipped with a series of sharp needles. Splashes of what looked like ink, or is that blood, he thought with panic, lined the shaft of each tool. The inkslinger calmly walked to a cupboard and pulled out several dark vials of ink and set them on the prep table. He positioned himself on a stool next to Togmer and took up a small tool with a seriec of nedles in a blcok shape. Whispering into Togmers ear, he said "This may hurt a little."
Tools: Tapping stick Yoshi, a tiefling mage, and owner of Acid Works Tattooing, has used several of his contacts to drum up help from a gnomish inventor. So far all attemtps to aotumate the tattooing process have failed miserably. Several botched tattoos and a severed arm are all Yoshi has to show for his investment. There is also the problem that the gnomes inventions are much to large to be usable as an artists tool. Were it not for the gnomes insistance that he will succeed, Yoshi would have fired him long ago. Inks: Inks are an important part of tattooing. The ink used must be of good quality to ensure that it properly holds the enchantment and does not wear off. Certain inks can even enhance the powers of a tattoo. For instance, a bit of red dragon blood in the ink will increase a tattoo of fire resistance by +15%. It is important to note that bonuses from special inks only apply when used in conjunction with a tattoo that already offers that power. A common list of inks and their bonuses can be found below: Dragon Blood - increases resistances by type of blood This is but a small list of the possiblities for special inks. The profession is yet young and it is expected that this list will grow rapidly.
